The Paremata Flats trapping group is an established body which has been catching pests since October 2007. Just under 4100 pests have been removed from both Paremata and Uri o te Wai with approximately 1946 volunteer hours have gone into the trapping programme and this has led to an increase in the observed population of Fernbirds.
