Forest and Bird have just secured further funding of $25,000 meaning the 2015 native eco sourced tree purchase costs have now been covered, the push is now on to secure funding for the purchase of the 2016 native eco sourced tree orders.
Forest and Bird (Nelson Tasman branch) would like to acknowledge and thank Canterbury Community Trust for a very generous grant of $20,000 for the purchase of native eco sourced trees for planting at Paremata Flat Reserve, this very generous grant as ensured funding for the 2015 year and set us on the path for securing funding for the 2016 year.
Forest and Bird (Nelson Tasman branch) would further like to acknowledge and thank local Nelson residents David and Mirdza Palmer for an extremely generous personal donation of $5000.00 with the specific request the money must go to the purchase of Podocarps for planting at Paremata Flats.
These very generous grants and donations give us confidence we will secure the necessary remaining funds to ensure the planting at Paremata Flats Reserve will be completed by the end of 2016.
